Dear Community,

To boost the summer feeling, we proudly present you a flyby through "Seclusion", a level set deep in the secluded forest of an American mountain range. This retreat is for one of the military’s most decorated Generals; his lavish mansion, a retirement gift, and testament to his years of service and battles won. In stark contrast to the turmoil of battle, the only thing disrupting the crisp morning air is the sound of birds and loons at the lakeside.

This morning, that calm was shattered by the sounds of gunfire.

Seclusion

The video was brilliantly captured and edited by our video artist Wayne "MyPetGoldfish" who spent a lot of time doing so. Looks to be a very nice map!

It would be complete if there we're a vault in the mansion wich stores some stolen WWII nazi-treasures and the mission for terrorists/whatever you call em would be to hack/open the vault steal the treasure to dropoff zone. Cheesy [/daydreaming]

wow really nice 2nd movie you guys should use this one instead of the first one on the front page.
Your getting a better view of how the map is looking.
Already started with making tactics for it (A).

Is it able to throw nades over the house?

Is it possible to jump into the water next to the sf spawn ?

Are the doors tables and  book shelves protect you from nades/bullets?

What about the mirrow in the room is it able to watch ur self checking if everything is looking smooth after a battle Smiley.

I'm really exited thats why all those questions.

Yes, but the grenade throw might not be strong enough depending on how we code it.

Is it possible to jump into the water next to the sf spawn ?
No, and not necessary at least on this map (that is actually the merc spawn, the Swat spawn is out front by the Swat truck). We have some rough swimming animations, but then you have to consider how far to let the player swim, how to kill them, can they go underwater also, etc., so it's not a priority.

Yes.

It has a cubemap but real-time reflection is expensive and not necessary in this kind of game.

PS: What happend with the map Jungle it was looking really promising for me.
Although it looked nice, Swing told me it had layout issues and was cut from the game. I would be happy to see the community re-create this map in the future.

i really dont know what to think about this map Sad
dont want to be negative and offcource you need to play this map before you judge but for some reason it looks so wide open.
maybe because of the camera view, but i would be a shame if you loose those famous 1on1 battle's when it comes to the player with the best aim. trailer looks good, alltough i think the 2nd one (matt) is better

3/4 of it is quite close-quarters actually, but don't worry, we are playtesting more in groups now to determine balance issues and will tweak all maps when necessary.

Very nice, very very nice. I love the style of this map except i still miss the Vault in the house with a hidden WWII nazi-treasure that the Merc need to steal in order to complete mission. lol  Grin

On a serious note, congratulations to your work, it looks very promising, next video you show of it i want to be with some players playing it so we can see some action shots and how it plays out on a pub server -- WHEN you have come that far in development that is.
